Position: Senior Primary Design Engineer

Salary: up to 185k +

Company: Tier 1 Contractor

Location: Sydney

Projects: Energy – up to 500kv Substations

Design & Build have partnered with a Tier 1 contractor on some of Australia's key energy transition projects, think multi-billion dollar development involving solar, wind, transmission & substations with major players and some of the best engineers in the energy sector.

Join a high-performing design division, working closely with the design partner to deliver substation primary engineering up to 500kV and play a key role in shaping the future of the grid.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead primary substation design up to 500kV, including layout, equipment arrangement, and electrical clearances
• Perform design calculations
• Develop complete design packages including BOMs and technical specs for HV equipment
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free, optimised designs
• Review system studies
  
  

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior Primary Engineer on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)
• CPEng or working towards it
• Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)
