Description
Global Technician (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Columbus, NE. Maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair production, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and calibrate equipment within established standards and requirements. Monitor spare parts inventory for machines and equipment. Instruct machine operators on operation, preventative maintenance and safety methods to ensure quality and quantity of parts. Update Quality System documents as necessary. Assist with engineering projects and continuous improvement activities. Implement process improvements to production, mechanical and electrical systems. Follow Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Mechanical Technology, Engineering (any), Electronics or related and one (1) year of related work experience.
Must have one (1) year of knowledge or experience with/in the following:
- Equipment troubleshooting;
- Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment;
- Following policies, procedures and regulations related to quality systems, Manufacturing execution systems, Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices;
- Troubleshoot and solving problems independently; and
- Understanding and following hazardous waste handling procedures following regulatory standards.
